Lumps & Bumps single area Scan

£120.00

Elite Community Ultrasound (ECU) is delighted to offer this comprehensive scan for man and women who are 16 years or above and do not want to wait for weeks for finding an answer.

Lumps & Bumps ultrasound is a non-invasive and painless medical imaging as well as first-line method of examination that most commonly checks the structure of the lump and the presence of vascularity (blood supply) in it.

Ultrasound can also identify the composition of the lump, making it easier to tell the difference between a cyst (a lump filled with fluid or pus) or a tumor (a solid lump). Thus, the most common lumps on any part of the body, which can be evaluated under this scan, are Lipoma (fatty lump), ganglion or sebaceous cyst (a lump filled with fluid or pus), hernia, foreign body, soft or hard skin swelling etc. However, the lump in the breast and thyroid/neck would be examined under these scans respectively.
