Groin ultrasound is a non-invasive medical imaging that most commonly checks the conditions of the groin such as hernia (inguinal hernia and femoral hernia) or nature of the lump in the groin. It is also a painless test that helps assessing the lymph nodes in the groin.

The most common reasons for having this scan:

Swelling, soft or hard lump in your one side groin or both sides groins.
Pain with the lump/swelling in your one side groin or both sides groins.
Pulsating lump in the groin.
Sometimes symptoms get worse and if you experience sudden, intense pain, feeling sick, having trouble pooing, or passing wind, it could be a sign that your hernia is getting stiff or tender, and can't push it back. The Doctor is kind, patient and helpful, happy to answer questions and encourages you to get in touch if anything comes up afterwards.
